I find it interesting..

I find it quite interesting(actually hilarious) to find that the meanings of First World, Second World, and Third World countries weren’t the same back when they were first established as they are today. To me it seems like the scene from the Sandlot where the group of main characters play the snobby baseball team that had dubbed themselves “Number One”

Does that make sense to anyone else or just me? I want to be sure that I am understanding all of this correctly, hoping that everyone else noticed that First World and Second World countries weren’t divided by who had what resources rather than who was playing for what team, and the Third World countries kind of felt like the kid down the block who no one wanted to play with(Smalls) because they lacked skills, resources, allies, etc. In the reading I could clearly see how the definition changed with First and Second World countries but I had some difficulty seeing where it really changed with Third World countries? Feels the same to me.. Would love to make a trivia about this at work, unfortunately we aren’t allowed to talk about religion, relationships, or politics(as it should be in a customer service job).
