Health Care Debate

I will be the first to admit that I need to learn more about the health care debates. Personally I do not have health care right now. But I was not happy with any of the plans I had to choose from on the government website. I either found them too expensive or found that … Continue reading Health Care Debate

World Trivia…

I honestly have not had a chance to watch the entire video that was posted. However, I was reading through the Novus document and I have to say there were a few things that stuck out to me. 1. “<1% of the worlds energy is derived from wind and solar.” WHY? I mean I know … Continue reading World Trivia…

Trusting the poor

Trust is a tricky subject. I don’t think we can label an entire group of people either “trustable” or “un-trustable”, it just simply isn’t possible. What I can say is I think we would have to trust, in hopefulness, that the majority of the people can be trusted. No one wants to be poor. So … Continue reading Trusting the poor

While I have not yet had the time to watch the entirety of the video just reading the summary that Professor Jim posted had me thinking. My book pick…

I have decided to reach “What is the economy for anyway?” by Batker and Graaf. I think it should be an interesting read. I was able to preview a few of the pages on Amazon before I ordered it. So it is now being shipped to me!

Asian Tigers…

It was interesting to read about the Asian Tigers.

Mixing things up…

I have to be honest and say that I have not heard of some of these economic variations discussed. Keynesianism, for instance is something I had to read more about. It is interesting concept to me and to reach that it is the perfect set up for a Capitalism to thrive. After reading through all the … Continue reading Mixing things up…

Too funny not to share

I saw this when browsing Facebook the other night and thought I would share. I am impressed with this little one’s coordination!

Our Problem

I have always heard sustainability spoken about in my world of agriculture. I have not thought about it on a “big picture’ level of the economy…the world economy. It was interesting as I was reading the professors first post “Unit 2-Capitalism vs Socialism vs Communism – The Clash (long)” the section where he discussed his … Continue reading Our Problem
