Unit 7- Future and Income Inequality

By | April 21, 2015

Income inequality in the United States isn’t a “serious” problem, it definitely exists but as shown in the graph on “vox” it is not as redistributed as in other countries. Taxes on high income persons are already very high and since there is a dwindling middle class it makes the gap that much bigger. But I wouldn’t consider the income inequality a serious problem, I think it is very inherent problem due to our markets that encourage people to go out and make as much money as they can. I don’t see anything wrong with that, although it may drive the gap higher it also gives the government more taxes to redistribute from those who make big money.
