Unit 2

The assigned readings that weren’t in the Madison book made me realize how some countries that weren’t apart of the eras of exploration or that weren’t highly populated had a large economic hole to dig themselves out of. At a first glance of a third world country its hard to wrap your head around how countries who are connected and separated by a line on a map can live on the complete opposite ends of the economic spectrum. The questions posed in the Road Map from Division to 1 Planet made me think alot about how difficult it is for these third world countries to be raised out of their situations, even with the help of others. It made me think about if they are really hopeless as a whole.
